Are you aware of the proper etiquette to being a great wedding guest?

With the wedding season right around the corner, many of us will be invited to at least one such event. Of course, weddings are amazing celebrations, filled with love and cherishment, joy and hope. But how do you make sure you are a great wedding guest? What are some of the most important wedding etiquette rules guests should remember when attending this type of events?

We have gathered some tips for you – so read on and find out more.

  • First and foremost, respond to the RSVPs – and do it on time. There’s a very good reason these have a deadline – and that’s related to the fact that the couple needs to have a final headcount before the actual wedding day. Be on time and pay attention to the names addressed on the invitation and RSVPs, so that you know for sure if you are allowed to bring a plus-one or not.
  • Offer a gift. The couple will not share any kind of registry information on the invitations. Their wedding party and close family will, however, spread the word. Also, if the couple has a wedding website, they will share registry information there. Pick a gift from those selected by them to make sure you make them happy!
  • Behave yourself. Be polite at the wedding, allow the photographer to shoot the most important moments and don’t keep the couple for too long when you chat with them. Also, be happy! The bride and groom want you there because you are an important part of their lives – so drink, eat and be merry for the wonderful step the two have made!
